This book is essential for anyone wanting to become a better public speaker. It's well written and researched, easy to read with great tips and secrets of public speaking.
The nice thing about this book is that it is full of practical and proven techniques and fundamentals of communication and speaking which also include several example speeches. No elaborate theories, just plain simple but extremely effective ways of preparing talks, short or long, what audience likes to hear about, how to give attention getting openings and closings in your speeches, in summary, it contains everything that is needed to become an effective speaker or communicator.
The strategies in this book will absolutely prepare you to speak with authority and direction. I highly recommend this book.

Inspiring and motivational!

In this book, Andrii Sedniev points out a lot on how to get an engaged audience. For someone who speaks to large audiences more often that she would like to (yes i am talking about myself), this is a must-have book. I have read countless books on public speaking but this one is different. It is highly comprehensive and fun to read. Who would have thought that little things such as being a little hungry before a speech would boost one's performance on stage? As Andrii Sedniev states "Speak just a little hungry -- you will be at the peak of your energy and you will perform your best on stage"... no wonder I am always sluggish during my speaking engagements... I have this tendency to scarf down my belly butterflies.
Beginner and advanced public speakers a like, will pick up a lot of useful information inside this book. For example, I just learned that some common practices in public speaking can actually kill my speech. I would have never guessed!
In summary, I am extremely happy with this book. It's a rare find! It is definitely a 5 out of 5!

Huge help with my public speaking skills

I am not now, nor have I ever been a fan of public speaking. I avoid it at all costs. Unfortunately my job requires me to frequently get up in front of people and talk, and since I like a paycheck more than I like sitting in the back row, I figured it was time to suck it up.
The real eye opener was in the section on the biggest secret of public speaking. What it said made total sense, as it would to anyone who has sat through hours of yawn inducing Power Point presentations. The discussion on relocation also clicked for me. Everything in here involves techniques that have been around for years, clear back to the great orators of Rome and Greece, but you don't need to read Socrates to learn how to get up and talk to people when you have this in your hand. The entire book is a wealth of information for anyone looking to really nail their next public speaking gig.
