This study guide is the best way to study

You won't find a better study guide to help you prepare for the NYSTCE Multi-Subject (002) exam. It offers great test taking advice to help you figure out the best way to study for your learning style and even shows you how to get the most out of doing the practice tests in the book. The guide provides a comprehensive overview of the material you'll need to know for the exam. Its chapters are written in clear and concise text which facilitates remembrance and helps you to actually learn the material. Using this guide is a great way to make sure you get the score you need.

Know everything you need to know in every subject

When you have to take a test on a lot of subjects all at once, it’s intimidating! Especially when you sit down to study. How are you supposed to know what will be covered in each subject? How will you review everything you need to know in time? That’s where this study guide comes in. This guide has all of the details in it that you need to have before you take the test. Study the guide, write in the margins, and get the details in however you can. You can even use the practice questions at the end to see if you’re ready to go.

I studied the information from these books for a full month before taking my exams. I feel that I was somewhat prepared for the ELA portion of the exam (I'm ELA-certified, after all), but the math exam totally blindsided me. I don't know if it's entirely the fault of Mometrix, though, as I know Pearson (who creates the teacher certification exams) constantly changes the exams. The more people that have to retake these exams, the more money Pearson makes, right? Regardless, I wouldn't recommend these books to prepare for the tests. I advise ordering study guides with multiple practice tests (this book only has one and it covers all subjects in 116 multiple choice questions with no writing portion to practice).
