"I peeled the sheet back to reveal his 9 inch, thick pipe." "I positioned my body so that my 36D breasts..." Two highly unerotic measurements within two paragraphs; I'm betting Ms. Downlow is a male erotica author.

Also, while we're on the subject, "I buried my nose in his big, loose ball sac and inhaled deeply, causing the skin to clog my nasal passages." is the single LEAST erotic thing I've ever read, counting the phone book.

The writing is competent, though, so if you enjoy seeing cocks likened to pickles and having each "Sluuuurrrrrpppp!" spelled out for you, this could be for you.

My first issue was the sounds and moans being written out liiiiikeeeee thiiiiiiiissssss. Then came the weak characters, the sad attempt at a story line, and a random declaration of love. I got this for free, and still feel cheated for downloading this childish attempt at erotica. Dear God.

Totally enjoyed this story! I read both versions, the shorter version in the "Summer Heat" anthology and this version. I thought the first version I read was good but, this extended version was hotter and more detailed. I liked the longer version waaayyyy better and even with the extended and more detailed version, I wanted more... I was sorry to see it end -Ms. Downlow always brings the steam!

A great TME adventure!

Rustwatch has always been your home and while the settlement has not been much to look at you are proud to call it home. Serving in the militia seems the best thing to do as thirty of your fellow villagers had gone out as a show of force. Your team of eight had been dispatched to do some reconnaissance to the west when shortly after your radio erupts in a stream of chaos and screams. As you all rush back to the village you see that it has been completely destroyed and everyone killed as someone burned this place to the ground. The only survivor is your leader three fisted sammy and as he is dying he makes you keep a promise to come back to this very spot prepared and equipped as he gives you a map to explore a dome that lies beyond the cursed red crater.

This is the beginning of the latest adventure released from Outland Arts and if there was ever any interesting hook to get me playing a game this would be it. It's not just a quest for relics, glory and money this time .. it's also a quest for revenge and to do right for the people that were slaughtered by a band of skullocks that call themselves the Bloodpath Clan. Now while I do not want to give away the bulk of the story I can say that most of the adventure takes place in and around this giant crater and the dome that lies beyond it.

What makes this adventure excellent and highly replayable is that it is written in a choose your own path style. Meaning you could play this solo or you could run your group through this adventure and have it go a different way multiple times. And what is different from the first adventure is that there are eight pre-generated characters that you can use to play in this scenario. However lets say that you have your own characters and you want to use those in this adventure. That's not a problem as there is an appendix that shows the GM how to work other characters other than the ones that were generated for this adventure into the story. There are also tons of adventure ideas as well as a jumping off point for a new campaign.

This adventure also has tons of handouts and great art throughout the entire book. These were all done by the writer as well William McAusland as his art style shows off the bleak and desolate wastelands and the horrific creatures that inhabit it. There is also a new monster that has been introduced in this book called a Neo Ogre and lets just say this is something that you do not want to run into while you are in the ruins.

If you have just bought yourself a copy of Mutant Epoch and want a starting adventure to introduce your players to this new game system then look no further than Beyond the Red Crater. With it's engaging story, pre generated characters and a replayable module it is clear to see that this is your best choice for starting up a new game of Mutant Epoch.

Chose your own adventure

Honestly I like TME but the choose your own adventure style of this suppelement makes for a hard read, and it even harder to understand what is going on and how area A links to area B. The adventure often allows your party to head down 3 or more routes all of which are detailed to one degree or the other. I would have preferred few choices, more detail, and more over view. That said there is enough here for an extended expedition into the Red Crater to last months for a weekly gaming group.

If you want an adventure for a Post-Apoc game, then this is it. Great art & lots of fun. All the Mutant Epoch titles are really good. Even if you play Gamma World , Mutant Future, or something else, these books can be used with a little work.

Sexy Sinclair

I love bondage, domination, and that sense of coercion in erotica or erotic romance. This story gave me all that I needed and wanted to read. I love that Genevieve feels as if she is forced to do something, is forced to give Sinclair his ninety days of sex and submission on demand. It's almost as if something compels her.

Why does she want to please him? How can she resist this man? How can she do what he demands? I love how he is commanding and arrogant. And his penetrating eyes. So assessing, watching her for every tell. That's what is so good about him and this situation. While Genevieve has the feeling of being forced, she is not really being forced to do anything but recognize her own deep-seated desire to be with this man, but she must have this idea of coercion in order to let go. She needs this contract with Sinclair to justify her need for him and her submission to him.

My favorite scene is when he ties her to the motorcycle, stretching her out on it, exposing her while he stays dressed head to toe in his black leathers, gloves and helmet. Man, and he does her while those men, strangers, watch. In my twenties, I wouldn't have neen brave enough, but if Sinclair asked me to do this now? I love everything he has pushed her to do. That motorcycle scene is every bad girl fantasy you've ever had- your indecent clothes, the bad boy biker dressed in leather taking you wherever he wants, strangers looking at you astride a bike with your arms around your bad boy, your short skirt riding up way too high.

While Genevieve clings to the contract and the bargain, so that she can keep from feeling too deeply for Sinclair, he hates the contract being brought up; his expression becomes cold and tight. He's expecting more from her, wanting more than the bargain. As I was reading, I kept wondering about his motivation; just what does he expect at the conclusion of this arrangement?

What a great ending, that card and the last gift. It ended just the way I wanted it to end. Sinclair and Genevieve both got more than they bargained for. Great D/s story with one of the sexiest heroes!

Not what I expected.

Didn't realise haveing read the blog that this was such a BDSM book and therefore quite dark and I didn't like it at all. It was recommended for those who liked 50 shades ,well no comparison. The main character annoyed me she was so weak.Would not recommend it.

Tip: Study Guide Comes with this DVD

I ordered the book, study guide, and DVD. I looked everywhere to try to figure out if a study guide came with the DVD and couldnt find it in the description so I ordered the study guide extra. When I opened the package everything I ordered was in perfect condition, etc. The only complaint I have, if you can even call it a complaint, is that I didnt have to order a seperate study guide because it turns out one DOES come with the DVD. I havent started the study yet but am looking forward to beginning this week with friends....maybe we will end up needing the extra study guide! Either way, I thought I would save someone else the extra expense.

This is a Best Yes buy!

"The decisions we make dictate the schedules we keep. The schedules we keep determine the lives we live. The lives we live determine how we spend our souls." When reading this line in the marketing of this book, it captured me. How simply my life can change course in the little decisions, it struck me how much power is in an answer: yes or no. Lysa's powerful writing changes one's mindset, shaping the decision making process. Wisdom flows through every page, clarity bringing insights like the following (a few of my favourites):

"We must not confuse the command to love with the disease to please."

"The one who obeys God's instruction for today will develop a keen awareness of His direct for tomorrow."

"That little act of obedience somehow unplugged my spiritual ears."

Rich in biblical truths, drawn from lives lived thousands of years in the past, Lysa casts new light on familiar stories and digs out gems one may have never heard. This reference scripture stuck with me:
"Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it'" Isaiah 30:21
It sounds so simple, just walk in it, and yet through funny and relatable stories, Lysa highlights how hard it really is to live this out. She elegantly counters every opposition one can think of as to why one can't live this out and gives practical ways to live it out and how to changes habits.

"Knowledge is wisdom that comes from acquiring truth. Insight is wisdom that comes from
living out the truth we acquire. Discernment is wisdom that comes from the Holy Spirit's reminders of that knowledge and insight." Another fantastic summary of the process, this highlights how Lysa walks us through giving us knowledge from biblical truth, insight from the activities she suggests we try and discernment by encouraging our journey with the Holy Spirit.

"We want big directional signs from God. God just wants us to pay attention." And that to me sounds like a new year's resolution with which I can work! I can pause for that moment of clarity to hear God and choose obedience in the little things. I highly recommend this book and look forward breaking out my Best Yes in 2017!

Lisa shares her heart with humor and insight on what it means to make wise decisions, the best decisions in the midst of indecision and plots a Biblical path to our best "yeses". I SO (as I'm sure most women will) relate to the constant "indecisijig" of choosing between a good yes and a good yes. Thanks, Lisa, for gentle reminders of what our best yeses truly are! This book opened my awareness and inspired me to stay close to the One whose yes will always bring peace and greater faith!

Consider this book a must read!

My wife and I are leaving shortly for a five week trip to Ireland. This will be our first Ireland trip and, most probably, the only such trip we will be able to make there.

We have purchased a number of travel guides and have found most of them informative and of value in planning our trip.

However, the book "A Secret Map of Ireland" is the only book that puts life into our trip planning experience and we strongly recommend reading it to anyone who wants to get some insite into the country and people they are going to visit!

Fun approach to a country with many diverse attractions. I felt like I was seeing it with a friend who had an insider's perspective. Rather informal in a way that appealed to me. Having my Eyewitness travel guide by my side helped me get my bearings. Glad I bought it as I may find it handy to refer to when I'm there.

32 parts stand for the whole island

A longtime journalist for the Irish Times, Boland's narratives move along generally with efficiency, detail, and organization. Her style, honed at the newspaper, tends more towards that of the personal feature granted by her employer than that of her poetry. The imagery's less potent and the facts more present than I expected. The best of these short chapters, one for a sight seen in each of the thirty-two counties, reveal Boland's ability to employ synecdoche-- in which a quirky or overlooked part stands for the whole nation.

For instance, the border in the Armagh visit to the Tayto factory at Tandragee Castle reveals a great detail, in impressively subtle observation and comparison, about the cultural differences on each side of the frontier. Similarly, the Fermanagh example of the border hamlets at Pettigo-Tullyhommon & Belcoo/Blacklion show the daily idiosyncracies of phone service, postal delivery, and commercial trade across a sturdy if nearly invisible divide. Another rift she enters in the Meath visit to the Columban missionary fathers' nearly empty but once filled former seminary and the graying and diminishing ranks of the Trappists at Waterford's Mount Melleray opens up deftly the fading echo of retreating Catholicism in an era of declining vocations and secularized lifestyles.

At Malin Head in Donegal, I liked her treatment of how visibility for weather forecasting still depends in a technological era on a human observer looking at the sky and checking gauges on the hour no matter what. This attention for the telling detail is Boland at her best. When she gets to the Sligo "fairy theme park" run by one "Melody, Baroness of Leyne, Ph.D.," all Boland needs to place the dreadful place in its kitschy niche is a deadpan recital of its plastic (or "resin") figurines. The edge the author reveals in her portrayal, however, avoids cruelty and she manages out of a depressing sight to conjure up the appeal of how it's not what we see that makes it inspiring or tawdry, it's what we do with the sights we see that manages to transcend the banal. A tricky point, and this moment, perhaps due to its depth of meaning, makes for me the highlight of this collection.

Yet, many other attractions she locates do not, in her telling, rise above the dutiful depiction of accumulated statistics or information. Staying three days on "Great" Skellig Michael, she transmits little of the gales and the sheer drops and the exhilarating vertigo that must be part of every lucky visitor's memory. How she got there by navigating Irish bureaucracy takes up much of her account; the stay's anticlimactic. Dan Donnelly's long arm in Kildare, carols sung in Laois, a cluttered Temple of Isis in Carlow, or a Raggedy Bush in Kilkenny are examples of the topics she discusses, but while all of these are admittedly interesting, they do not leap off the page or remain long in the memory.

A long recital of the intriguing journey to Africa's Mountains of the Moon by Surgeon Major Thomas Heazle Parke 1887-89 appears better suited to a non-Irish account. A monkey's afterlife fame in Cork, a cabinet of curiousities in Tyrone, or Derry's immense Lough Neagh all intermittently engage you, but the energy dissipates. I suppose the sad fate of the Millennium Tree that Boland had been issued in Wicklow may prove a metaphor for this gathering of attempts at surprising one's self with the hidden but accessible corners of one's own native land. The destination may disappoint or remain stubbornly elusive, but the sense of wonder and mystery still pulls Boland, and you, along to the next stop.
