Good basic guide

Very basic guide, I was looking for something a bit more technical and in depth. The solar and wind section was very minimal and left a lot to be explained.

For the beginners.

This book was okay, but not what I expected. It is definitely in the beginners category. It gives you a good understanding of how to take on small projects like raised beds, and trellis. For the bigger projects it gives you a decent starting point.
For some readers this book will be great, but having been in the building industry for over 20 years I did not find this vary helpful at all. I thought I would get detailed plans and informations on projects like root cellars and efficient greenhouses. Again this good is a great beginners book, but not for an advanced D I Y person.

Good Information and Ideas!

These seem to be a compilation of old books that my grandfather use to have back in the 30's. That is not a bad thing and I think a lot of the things discussed in this book should be taught in schools as there is nothing more important in life than knowing how to grow your own food. Knowing how to eat it is a good thing to learn as well...a lot of good information and ideas.
